About Probe Investigations (UK) Limited

Probe Investigations (UK) Limited was originally created by former police officers and operated predominantly in the Merseyside, Cheshire and Greater Manchester areas. The company has steadily grown and now has a further office in Birmingham.

Our team has multiplied to include former military people and technicians. We are now operating on a national level and are a ‘one stop shop’ for clients with investigative requirements; wherever they may be.

Probe Investigations (UK) Limited keep abreast of current law and trends that impact upon the profession. We are led from the front and have strict policies in place to ensure that our actions are always lawful and ethical.

The team is steered by Managing Director, and co founder, Peter Farrington.

Peter is a former police detective. He served with Merseyside Police, The North West Regional Crime Squad and the National Crime Squad (forerunner of the Serious and Organised Crime Agency) as well as undertaking a lengthy secondment to work alongside Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise for the duration of a very complex investigation into International Drug Trafficking.

Peter is well known in the investigation sector and is a proud, active member of several professional bodies.

Around 2001, we diversified into retail security services and in doing so we carefully built a team of hand picked security operatives that is the envy of our competitors. Probe Investigations (UK) Limited specialise in high-risk work and in particular the retail jewellery trade.

The security arm of the company is now overseen by director Paul Campbell. Paul is a graduate of Liverpool University and having commenced his professional career in the insurance industry, joined the company in 2004 to eventually take charge of the security arm in 2008.

The company is compliant in all areas. We have built our business carefully by doing things properly and we really mean it when we say ..... our reputation is everything.
